So far this year, the Child Rights Action Hub DRC has accredited 15 new case managers — six in Fungurume and nine in Kolwezi — in recognition of their demonstrated knowledge and practical management of child labour cases in line with The Centre’s procedures and standards.

The accreditation process recognises case managers who have successfully applied child protection and case management practices in local mining communities, helping ensure that children at risk are identified, supported and referred appropriately.

The accreditation ceremony in Fungurume was attended by the Head of the Department for Family, Child and Gender at the Fungurume Municipality, highlighting continued collaboration with local authorities on child protection efforts. A second accreditation ceremony was held in Kolwezi in collaboration with The Division des Affaires Sociales (DIVAS).

With these new accreditations, the Action Hub now works with a local team and 22 active case managers across 12 mining communities. The case managers play a critical role in managing child labour cases and identifying children for the CLR programme within their communities.
